Job Summary
The Financial Controller is expected to manage and be responsible for all accounting and
financial activities of the firm.
We are looking for an individual with strong technical capabilities across financial functions, excellent communication skills, and is comfortable with a dynamic and growing environment.
The FC will report to the COO and work closely with external stakeholders including majority shareholder representatives.
What you will do?
Accounting & Auditing
-Ensure accounting systems and team are functioning according to policy and
procedures, accounting standards, and are an accurate representation of
company current standings.
-Manage and improve internal policies and procedures and controls based on
company needs, targets, and regulatory requirements.
-Manage relationship with external auditors and confirm financial status of through
confirmation of audited financials at the end of the fiscal year.
Budgeting
-Communicate, and coordinate with budget owners to support the reporting
process and ensure the delivery of consolidated and comprehensive budgets
within a given timeframe.
-Compile and provide key performance indicators based on reported and budgeted
figures.
-Work closely with management to identify budget key risk and opportunities to
future performance, in addition to general trends.
Treasury
-Consolidate and monitor the cash flow of the company.
-Work closely with stakeholders and budget owners to present an accurate current
and forecasted cash flow schedule.
-Recommend internal controls designed to mitigate business risks.
-Manage the transactional processing of payments, and any other financial
processes.
Reporting:
-Preparation of financial management accounts on a quarterly basis and/or when is
deemed necessary by management.
-Prepare special reports based on company needs by collecting, analyzing, and
summarizing information and trends.
Experience and Qualifications expected
Bachelor’s or Higher Degree in Accounting/Finance
Relevant working experience of 5 to 8 years in an accounting/finance role. Preferably in a
role where:
-Using excel tools, and accounting software to perform accurate reports.
-Working independently while managing multiple deadlines
-Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software (e.g.
SAP, NAV)
-Display consistent levels of drive, and enthusiasm for specific task at hand
-Strong analytical and problem solving skills
-Excellent communication skills including:
-Written:
-Ability to build comprehensive and easy to understand reports.
-Clarity with all written communication (e-mails, reports, est..)
-Spoken:
-Ability to positively handle all audit engagements with stakeholders.
-Gives clear directions.
-Provides constructive feedback to team, and all stakeholders.
-Pursues learning opportunities, wither for self-improvement, and/or team
members
