Job Position – Housekeeping Supervisor

Responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of the housekeeping staff to ensure the cleanliness, sanitation, and maintenance of the facility. This role includes managing the day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and providing leadership and training to the housekeeping team.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision and Coordination:
Supervise and coordinate the activities of the housekeeping staff, including assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
Ensure all areas of the facility are cleaned and maintained according to company standards.
Conduct regular inspections of rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness and maintenance.
Staff Management:
Train, mentor, and develop housekeeping staff to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and service.
Schedule staff shifts and manage attendance to ensure adequate coverage.
Address staff issues, including performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and resolving conflicts.
Inventory and Supplies Management:
Monitor and maintain inventory levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and other necessary materials.
Order and replenish supplies as needed, ensuring cost-effective purchasing and inventory control.
Manage the distribution of supplies and equipment to staff.
Quality Control:
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the facility.
Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure service excellence.
Address and resolve any complaints or issues related to housekeeping services.
Administrative Duties:
Prepare and maintain records of housekeeping activities, including work schedules, inventory logs, and inspection reports.
Assist in budget preparation and cost control related to housekeeping operations.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operation and communication.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality management or related field is a plus.
Proven experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or similar role in a facility management, hospitality, or commercial environment.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Working Conditions:
Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if required.
Physical stamina is required to perform manual tasks and supervise staff.
