Job Position –  HSE Officer

Company Name – RFM Global

Seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Officer to join our facilities Management team. The role is focused on ensuring a safe working environment for all staff, contractors, and visitors by developing safety policies, conducting inspections, leading training, and ensuring compliance with local and international safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
– Assist the Operations Manager in planning and implementing safety policies and procedures in compliance with UAE regulations and international standards.
– Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards ? recommend corrective actions.
– Monitor and evaluate health and safety risks ? ensure risk assessments and control measures are updated.
– Investigate incidents and near-misses ? prepare reports ? implement preventative measures.
– Lead safety training and awareness programs for technicians, staff, and contractors.
– Ensure safety equipment (fire extinguishers, PPE, alarms, emergency exits) is regularly checked and maintained.
– Coordinate and conduct emergency response drills (fire, evacuation, etc.).
– Maintain accurate safety records ? inspections, incident reports, compliance documentation.
– Liaise with regulatory authorities during inspections ? ensure timely resolution of findings.
– Support operations by advising on ergonomics, safe equipment usage, and work procedures.

Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
– Safety certification (NEBOSH / IOSH / OSHA) is highly preferred.
– 2–3 years of relevant safety experience, preferably within Facilities Management or similar environments.

Skills & Competencies:
– Strong knowledge of UAE health & safety legislation and best practices.
– Excellent communication and training delivery skills.
– Analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment mindset.
– Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
– Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
– Familiarity with safety management software is a plus.

Working Conditions:
– Based on-site at client facilities.
– Must be able to conduct site walks/inspections, sometimes in challenging conditions.
– Flexibility required for occasional evening/weekend audits or emergency response.
