Job Position – Maintenance Supervisor / Engineer

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Maintenance Supervisor / Engineer to oversee the repair and maintenance of machinery and equipment in our fabrication shop. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems related to fabrication and heavy engineering environments.
Key Responsibilities:
– Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities for all fabrication shop equipment.
– Ensure regular servicing, repair, and preventive maintenance of machinery such as:
Overhead cranes
Hydra machines
Forklifts
Rolling machines
Compressors
Welding and cutting equipment
Other shop-related tools and infrastructure
– Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical breakdowns efficiently and minimize downtime.
– Maintain accurate maintenance logs, reports, and equipment records.
– Coordinate with vendors and service providers when needed.
– Ensure compliance with safety standards and company maintenance policies.
– Lead a team of maintenance technicians and provide technical guidance.
Requirements:
– Minimum of 5 years’ experience in maintenance within a fabrication or heavy engineering environment in the similar role.
– Strong knowledge of industrial equipment, mechanical systems, and preventive maintenance techniques.
– Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
– Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills.
– Strong understanding of workplace safety and machine operation standards.
Preferred Skills:
– Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
– Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
– Hands-on troubleshooting and repair abilities.
