Job Position – Network Infrastructure Technician

Location: Abu Dhabi
Contract Duration: 1 Year – Extendable
Salary: 7000 AED
-Responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining the physical network infrastructure that enables connectivity between various devices, systems, and equipment within an organization.
-This role involves working with network cables, wiring, and related hardware to ensure reliable and efficient data transmission throughout the organization”s network.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Cabling Installation:
-Install and terminate network cables, including twisted pair copper cables (e.g., Cat5e, Cat6) and fiber optic cables, following industry standards and best practices.
-Set up and organize network equipment rooms and telecommunications closets, ensuring proper cable management and labeling.
Network Infrastructure Maintenance:
-Perform regular maintenance and inspection of network cabling and related infrastructure to identify and resolve potential issues proactively.
Replace or repair faulty cables, connectors, and related components as needed to maintain optimal network performance.
Testing and Troubleshooting:
-Conduct testing and certification of installed network cables to verify compliance with industry standards and performance requirements.
-Troubleshoot connectivity issues and network outages, identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner.
Skills and Qualifications:
-High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or vocational training in network cabling is a plus.
-Proven experience in network cabling installation and maintenance.
Familiarity with different types of network cables, connectors, and tools used in network cabling.
-Basic understanding of network principles and protocols.
-Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints related to network cabling.
-Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions and guidelines.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
-Physical stamina and ability to work in tight spaces and physically demanding environments.
-Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
-Knowledge of industry standards such as TIA/EIA, ANSI/TIA-568, and BICSI is advantageous
