Job Position – Network Security Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
-Addresses and resolves IT incidents and service requests; logs all incidents and requests using the appropriate service categories using the IT Service Management tool.
-Analyses and resolves incidents and requests related to network support. Logs and tracks incidents and requests from identification through resolution.
-Follows up with other IT staff (service resources) or external suppliers involved in resolution to ensure incidents are resolved, requests are filled, and the customer communication is complete.
-Report on the incident resolution and monitor Service Level requirements and achievements. Ensure proper recording, documentation and closure within the IT Service Management system.
-Coordinate with IT Service Desk and documents network and security issues and resolution
Qualification & Experience
B.Sc. in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent
ITIL Certification is a plus, professional certificate from Global Network vendors( Cisco, Huawei, Fortinet, Juniper Palo Alto, etc) plus.
6 years of relevant technical experience.
Critical Skills:
-Knowledge and experience with IT service management framework ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) and related ITSM tool.
-Proficient in network architectures and topologies. Experience in higher education and research organization is a plus.
-Experience in supporting networks in a mission-critical enterprise infrastructure environment
Specific Skills and Competencies: Comprehensive knowledge and experience with:
-Network protocols (TCP-IP, NetBios, etc.),
-Routing Protocols ( BGP, OSPF, RIP)
-Data Communication equipment (Switches, Routers, etc.)
-Specific technologies such as Wireless, load balancing, SSL acceleration, encryption tools and certificates.
