Job Position – Procurement Officer

Location: Dubai

To manage and oversee procurement activities for fit-out projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing materials, finishes, and services required for the successful execution of projects. The role demands knowledge of the interior industry, cost control, supplier management, and a focus on delivering high-quality products within project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

·      Source and procure materials, finishes, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) for interior fit-out projects.
·      Identify and evaluate suppliers/vendors, negotiate terms, prices, and contracts, ensuring the best value for the company.
·      Source specialty items and materials required for custom fit-out needs, such as flooring, wall treatments, lighting, and cabinetry.
·      Issue purchase orders, track orders, and follow up to ensure on-time delivery of materials.
·      Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors in the fit-out and industry.
·      Monitor supplier performance to ensure the delivery of materials that meet quality, budget, and time requirements.
·      Collaborate with project managers to understand project requirements, timelines, and budgets.
·      Evaluate market trends and negotiate pricing with suppliers to achieve cost-effective solutions for the business.
·      Track and manage inventory to ensure materials are available when required by project teams, avoiding shortages or excess stock.
·      Maintain an up-to-date record of all purchased materials, including quantities, delivery dates, and costs.
·      Coordinate with project teams and warehouse staff to ensure proper storage and distribution of materials.
·      Collaborate with the project management team to understand project specifications, timelines, and material requirements.

Qualifications:

·      Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, or a related field
·      Professional certifications, such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply), are advantageous.

Experience:

·      Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably within fit-out, or interior design industries.
·      Proven experience in sourcing and purchasing materials used in fit-out projects
·      Familiarity with project management and working closely with project teams to meet deadlines and budget constraints.
