About the job
Job Purpose:
Undertake purchase activities, tender and contract evaluation, place orders and monitor delivery to provide the right products and services across business unit. Negotiate with various suppliers to obtain maximum discount without compromising quality.
Key Accountabilities:
- Identify competitive sources of quality goods and services. Prepare and submit RFP’s. Ensure proper negotiation of terms and pricing to approve, prepare and process purchase orders.
- Ensure purchase order compliance with procurement policies, procedures and communication protocols at all times and resolve discrepancies.
- Build and maintain strong relations with vendors and service providers to ensure seamless business support.
- Adopt and apply new professional strategies and policies within the area of responsibility in accordance with management directions.
- Effectively supports employees to meet daily requirements/deadlines through addressing queries, resolving day-to-day work related issues and providing technical on-the-job training.
- Advises functional teams or projects on his/her area of specialization and is able to lead multidisciplinary projects or initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor degree in Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience.
- Professional Certificates and Licenses Certification in CPP (Certified Purchasing Professional) is preferred
