Job Position – Quantity Surveyor
Company Name – SDV Consulting Engineers
Responsible for managing all costs related to construction projects, ensuring value for money, accurate cost control, and contractual compliance from project inception to completion in accordance with UAE regulations.
– Prepare cost estimates, BOQ, and material take-offs from design drawings.
– Review and evaluate contractor/subcontractor tenders; support contract award recommendations.
– Monitor project costs, certify interim payments, and track variations and additional works.
– Conduct site visits to verify progress, quantities, and compliance with approved drawings.
– Maintain records for cost reports, claims, dispute resolution, and final account settlements.
– Liaise with clients, design teams, and contractors to resolve cost and contractual issues.
Qualifications
– Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
– Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in steel industrial structures; UAE experience is strongly preferred
– Strong background in factories, warehouses, powerplants or industrial facilities
– Strong exposure to industrial construction/structural steel projects is a high advantage
– Membership with RICS or equivalent is highly desired
– Proficiency in MS Excel, Primavera, AutoCAD and cost control systems
– Excellent commercial, negotiation and analytical skills
– Ability to manage multiple contractors and suppliers
– Knowledge of international steel standards
– UAE driving license is mandatory
