Job Position – Quantity Surveyor MEP

2) Commercial Meetings:
• Attend commercial meetings with the Contractor.

3) Cost Implications of Variations:
• Advise on cost implications of proposed variations and instructions.
• Provide cost implications to the Employer for implemented variations.

4) Assessment of Variations:
• Assist the Employer in assessing variations submitted by the Contractor under the Construction Contract.

5) Daywork Claims:
• Ensure all “daywork” claims under the Construction Contract are properly settled and agreed upon.

6) Valuation and Settlement of Claims:
• Assist the Employer in valuing and settling claims under the Construction Contract.
• Agree on a final statement or account with the Contractor.

7) Expenditure Monitoring:
• Monitor and report monthly on expenditure in relation to the Cost Report until the Final Certificate is issued.
• Inform the Employer immediately if expenditure exceeds or is anticipated to exceed the budget.

• Advise the Employer on updating monthly cash flow forecasts for each element of the Project.

9) Off-Site Goods and Materials:
• Advise on the desirability of making payments for off-site goods and materials.
• Assist the Project Architect and Specialist Engineering Consultants in valuing off-site goods and materials.

10) Interim and Final Accounts:
• Negotiate and agree on interim and final accounts under the Construction Contract with the Contractor.

• Provide quantity surveying information and assist in advertising, marketing, and negotiations for letting or selling the Project (if applicable).

• Monitor costs for work executed by others that is omitted from the Construction Contract.

Years of Experience – Minimum of 10 years of experience
