Job Position – Safety Officer
Company Name – Point Contracting
You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and enforcing safety protocols to reduce the risk of accidents and ensure a safe working environment. You will work closely with the management and operational teams to identify potential hazards, conduct safety audits, and promote a culture of safety across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
– Implement and monitor safety policies and procedures.
– Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards.
– Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
– Provide training and guidance on safety practices to employees.
– Investigate and report safety incidents, near misses, and accidents.
– Maintain accurate safety records and reports.
– Collaborate with managers to develop emergency response plans.
– Promote safety awareness programs and initiatives.
– Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety gear.
Requirements:
– Proven experience as a Safety Officer or in a similar role.
– In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and procedures (OSHA, etc.).
– Strong understanding of safety standards and protocols.
– Excellent communication and training skills.
– Ability to analyze and assess risks and take preventive measures.
– Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) preferred.
– First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.
– Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
