Job Position – Senior IT Engineer
Company Name – Marc Ellis
Contract Duration: 6 months extendable
Experience: 5 to 8 years
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Task & Responsibilities:
• Enhancing skills across specializations and collaborating with IT Teams to maintain IT Service Continuity and Disaster Recovery Program.
• Coordinating with stakeholders to create, maintain, and test service continuity plans for IT systems, applications, and infrastructure.
• Managing and executing Disaster Recovery Exercises, documenting outcomes, and addressing improvement areas.
• Collaborating with international teams for DR exercises and maintaining site-level Disaster Recovery Plans.
• Updating and managing the central repository for IT DR documents and coordinating Business Continuity Exercises.
• Maintaining a comprehensive DR Testing Calendar and assessing IT changes for their impact on service continuity.
Technical skills and other qualifications:
• 05 Years of Experience in working in a IT Service Continuity / IT Disaster Recovery role for minimum 03 years within a corporate environment (preferably Banks or Financial Institutions)
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including collaboration and analytical
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and stakeholder influencing skills are critical
• Strong understanding of Information Technology and able to call on SME expertise as required
• Deep expertise in 1 or 2 technology stacks and ability to quickly learn new technologies
• Ability to coach and guide the team of Engineers or other Service Management Staff
