Job Position – Senior Network Engineer
Looking for a highly experienced Senior Network Engineer with strong expertise in fiber optic GPON networks and CCTV/IP surveillance systems.
Position: Full-Time
Experience: Minimum 10 years
Location: Doha, Qatar
Availability: Immediate joiners preferred
Key Responsibilities
– Lead the design and architecture of a robust and scalable GPON fiber network.
– Conduct capacity planning to support required bandwidth with redundancy and high availability.
– Develop network topology, GPON split ratios, and OLT/ONT placement strategies.
– Ensure compliance with network security, performance, and resiliency standards.
– Collaborate with vendors, consultants, and internal teams on equipment selection and deployment.
– Provide technical leadership for fiber optic infrastructure, CCTV integration, and IP networking.
– Oversee implementation, testing, and optimization of the GPON network. Troubleshoot escalated network issues and provide guidance to junior engineers.
– Prepare detailed documentation, including network diagrams, SOPs, and design reports.
Qualifications & Experience:
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
– 10+ years of professional experience in large-scale fiber optic network design and implementation.
– Proven track record in GPON technology (OLT, ONT, splitters, fiber distribution).
– Strong background in CCTV/IP camera network integration. Excellent knowledge of network routing, switching, and security protocols.
– Hands-on experience with enterprise-grade equipment (Cisco, Huawei, Nokia, or similar).
– Candidates with advanced certifications will be given priority: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP – Enterprise/SP) Certified GPON Engineer (vendor-specific, e.g., Huawei, Nokia, ZTE)
