Primary Duties:

  • S Obtain the project and the construction plan from the construction manager and plan for the surveying exercise.
  • S Assign areas to the land surveyors for the exercise and train them on the process and on the client’s requirements and fix benchmarks or monuments for the site.
  • S Oversee the computation of geodetic measurements and interpret survey data in order to determine positions, shapes, and elevations of geomorphic and topographic features.
  • S Establish fixed points for use in making maps, using geodetic and engineering instruments.
  • S Plan and conduct ground surveys designed to establish baselines, elevations, and other geodetic measurements.
  • S Oversee the maintenance of sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys in order to describe, certify, and assume liability for work performed.
  • S Supervise preparation of all data, charts, plots, maps, records, and documents related to surveys.
  • S Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
  • S Coordinate findings with the work of engineering and architectural personnel, clients, and others concerned with projects.
  • S Develop criteria for survey methods and procedures.
  • S Coordinate with discipline managers during the construction activities to fix coordinates during construction for each discipline.
  • S Coordinate with the Quality Inspectors for certification requirements.
  • S Carry out other duties as directed by the supervisor.

Minimum requirement:

Diploma/trade certificate in surveying with a minimum of 15 years’ experience in large EPC projects.
