About the job
We are looking for an experienced Backend Engineer who has experience as a Java Developer, particularly across Java 8, for a tech first start-up in Dubai.
Location: Dubai
Job Role: Backend Engineer
Salary: Up to 14k AED p/month
Skills and experience
• Experience and understanding of Micro-services – Service orient architecture
• Understanding of the Node JS Framework, SQL
• Understanding the CI/CD cycle, Web services – Spring , Hibernate,.
• Experience in building cloud native applications on AWS cloud
• Automation Testing utilizing repositories platform like GitHub, Gitlab or BIT bucket
• Experience in building new systems from scratch and integrating with the existing
• Bachelor’s degree in computer programming, computer science, or a related field.
• Fluency or understanding of specific languages, such as Java 8, Spring , Hibernate
• Experience: Minimum of 3+ years experience as Java Developer. An experience in Distribution, B2B , Ecommerce is desirable.
• Unit Testing – JUnit
• Fluency in English, Arabic is a plus point
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, implement and launch scalable microservices in the platform.
• Propose new technologies, frameworks and tools to improve the product, team efficiency or process.
• Work in autonomous squads, interact with other functional teams.
• Collaborates well with other engineers and other engineering groups, voluntarily shares information.
• Proactive, responsible and reliable in design, suggesting new methods, implementation and delivery.
