Sous Chef

To join an awarded Italian restaurant in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Italian cuisine and a strong knowledge of cooking techniques and ingredients.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Chef de Cuisine in menu planning and development
• Oversee kitchen operations in the Chef de Cuisine’s absence
• Ensure the quality and presentation of all dishes before they leave the kitchen
• Train and manage kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective service
• Maintain high standards of food safety and cleanliness in the kitchen
• Help manage food and kitchen supplies inventory
• Participate in and contribute to team meetings and menu tastings

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine, ingredients and cooking techniques
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Commitment to providing excellent customer service
• Food Safety Certification
