Job Position – Structural Engineer

Main Purpose of the Job:
Structural engineer is primarily concerned with designing and constructing buildings and structures that are safe and capable of withstanding the elements to which they will be exposed, as well as improving the structural integrity of contracting projects.
Job Responsibilities:
Preparation and delivery of schematic design, detailed design and tender design preparation and documentation.
Establish and develop structural design from concept throughout the subsequent design stages.
Perform structural engineering analysis of steel structures.
Undertake engineering design and calculations in compliance with international code of practice.
Manage coordinate of the structural design with other disciplines, other offices, and other project team members as required by project size.
Review drawings, design analysis and calculations.
Manage QA/QC in accordance with the company policy.
Write, collaborate on, and review reports, documents, and proposals.
Support site installation team including field reviews and co-ordination, review and issuance of change notices, clarifications and RFI responses on an occasional or as required basis.
Maintain a positive working relationship with team members and other disciplines.
Collaborate with head of department to prioritize projects, workloads, and needs.
Collaborate with other members of the team to deliver innovative and sustainable best value solutions that meet the Client’s requirements whilst maintaining excellent relationships with Clients and co-workers.
Manage and collaborate with the project team to efficiently complete projects and meet expected budgets and timeline.
Follow the Health & Safety company policy.
Accept, take ownership and assign / delegate as required, to produce specific CAD drawings and specifications (as directed by the Business Unit Head-Contracting) on time and to the required quality standards.
Prepares detail design AUTOCAD and Revit drawings for structural elements like slabs, beams, columns, foundations based on sketches by design engineer.
Maintain, enhance and apply technical knowledge to ensure all documentation comply with relevant and current legislation / authority regulations / building codes.

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in Architectural, Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
Computer skills in Autocad/Revit/Bim Software’s, MS Office, MS Windows.
Minimum 15 years in the same field.
Management skills, Commitment, Initiative, Honest and Reliable.
