We are hiring for the position of “STS Operator” for an oil & gas company here in Abu Dhabi, UAE

Job Location- Abu Dhabi

Requirements:

1) Operates shore-to-ship gantry cranes for discharge and/or loading of deep-sea feeder vessels in the port within given safety and operational policies and procedures in the most efficient way possible.
2) Operates the equipment assigned to him in a safe manner to ensure all work procedures and safety codes are followed to prevent injury to all personal and damage to equipment.
3) Conducts regularly pre and post inspections of the STS Crane and make sure that all abnormalities are reported to the CY Supervisor immediately
4) Perform first line maintenance when the need arises. Experienced operators of port equipment or a driver of a truck must know how to perform first line maintenance otherwise such people cannot be considered experienced and they should not be brought on site to Ruwais.
5) Maintain continuous operation by using “Hot Seat” changeover at shift changeover times and for operator rest break changeover.
Report immediately any damage sustained by the vessel, STS Crane, container and/or any other equipment during operations.
6) Maintain the operator’s cabin and lifts in a clean and tidy condition at all times.
7) Achieve operational efficiencies within the parameters of the equipment’s capacity
8) At least High School Diploma
9) At least total of 5 years relevant experience; 2 years as STS Crane operator and 3 years in different CY positions.
10) Must possess heavy duty driver’s license issued by the local authorities
11) Basic knowledge of STS Crane First line maintenance
12) Should have completed at least 30 hours of relevant training from credible safety organizations, certificates of attendance/completion required.
13) Physically fit, no fear of heights and must possess excellent sensory acuity
14) Average English skills in both oral and written form
