Job Position – AI & Technology Specialist

Responsible to lead the digital transformation of core workflows, focusing on implementing advanced technologies like AI, machine learning, and digital twins to optimize operational efficiency and improve reporting for transparency and accuracy.
Responsible to discover and evaluate existing and emerging technologies, manage pilot projects, and integrate approved solutions to drive innovation in areas like process automation, predictive maintenance, and sustainability.
Responsible for collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure digital initiatives align with corporate vision and organization goals.

Principal Accountabilities

Digitalization of Workflows and Processes:

Enhanced Reporting: Lead and support the development of custom dashboards and reporting tools that provide real-time insights into project progress, performance metrics, and offshore resource utilization.
Develop and deploy comprehensive digital reporting systems that integrate data from various sources to ensure real-time visibility into key performance metrics (KPIs).
Identify areas for improvement and digitalization, focusing on increasing efficiency and transparency in reporting.
Digital Twin Implementation: Lead the integration of digital twin technology to optimize the performance of offshore assets (owned by NMDC Energy) in the performance of the scope of work
Process Automation: Design and implement digital solutions that streamline processes, including document management, project reporting, and collaboration tools.
Implement intelligent automation to streamline repetitive tasks, reduce human error, and optimize workflows.
Analyze existing workflows in Offshore Operations across engineering, procurement, fabrication, and project management departments.

AI and Data-Driven Solutions:

Predictive Analytics: Develop and deploy AI solutions for predictive analytics, risk assessment, scheduling, and cost forecasting.
Utilize machine learning models to predict performance, downtime, and optimize schedule (with known constraints) to improve decision-making
Operational Optimization: Leverage data from IoT sensors onboard vessel to improve operational efficiency.
AI for Safety: Support deployment of AI-powered systems to monitor safety-critical operations

Technology Scouting and Implementation:

Emerging Technology Evaluation: Continuously evaluate emerging technologies for implementation into NMDC Energy that could benefit the company’s operations (e.g., AI, IoT, robotic process automation, augmented/virtual reality, etc.).
Evaluate the potential impact of these technologies on the company’s workflows, cost savings, and competitiveness. Present findings and proposals to senior management for approval.
Lead the implementation of approved technologies, working closely with internal teams and external vendors as necessary.
Pilot Projects and Proof of Concepts (POCs): Lead the design and execution of pilot projects and proof-of-concept initiatives to test new technologies in real-world scenarios, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals around sustainability and digital transformation.
Venture Partnerships and Collaborations: Collaborate with external technology providers, startups, and academia to explore and implement cutting-edge innovations.
Sustainability Initiatives: Implement technology solutions that support the company’s sustainability goals, such as carbon footprint tracking and energy efficiency solutions.

Project Management and Collaboration:

Act as a key liaison between the IT department and operational teams to ensure the smooth execution of digital projects.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources for digital transformation initiatives.
Work closely with technology vendors, software providers, and external consultants to ensure the successful deployment and integration of new systems. Manage vendor relationships to ensure compliance with project timelines and budgets.
Facilitate organizational change management by providing training, support, and resources to employees adopting new digital tools and processes. Champion a culture of digital literacy and innovation across the company.
Ensure all digital transformation initiatives comply with company standards for data governance, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements. Work closely with IT security teams to address any vulnerabilities in new technologies.

Stakeholder Communication and Reporting:

Ensure digital initiatives are aligned with the company’s overall strategy, focusing on increasing operational efficiency, improving safety standards, and reducing environmental impact.
Work closely with senior management to understand the strategic goals of the organization and align digital initiatives accordingly.
Provide regular updates and insights to senior leadership on the status of digital projects, outlining the business value, cost savings, and operational improvements achieved through technology implementations.
Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure that digital tools and technologies are effectively supporting the company’s operational objectives and risk management frameworks.

Educational Qualifications & Certification

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields
Master’s degree or Doctorate Degree (for example in Data Analytics) is advantage Certification from a professional institute or equivalent
Certification on Machine Learning, AI, Coding Languages
