Job Position – Automation Draftsman
Company Name – ARCO Electromechanical
Hiring a detail-oriented and skilled to join our engineering team. In this role, you will translate engineering concepts into precise technical drawings, schematics, and layouts for automated systems, electrical control panels, and industrial machinery. You will work closely with control engineers and project managers to ensure all designs meet industry standards and project specifications
Key Responsibilities:
1. Create schematics: Draft detailed electrical and Control schematics for automation systems.
2. Design panel layouts: Develop 2D and 3D layouts for electrical control panels and enclosures.
3. Update documentation: Revise and manage engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and technical documentation based on markups.
4. Collaborate closely: Work alongside automation engineers to resolve design challenges and ensure technical accuracy.
5. Interdisciplinary collaboration: Proven ability to coordinate and communicate design requirements across multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams.
6. Maintain standards: Follow company drafting standards as well as global industry regulations (e.g., IEC, UL, ANSI).
Minimum Requirements:
1. Education: Associate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent certification in Drafting, Electrical Design, or Mechatronics.
2. Software expertise: Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, SolidWorks Electrical, or similar automation drafting tools.
BIM Experience is a very good Plus
3. Technical knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical circuits, control systems, and automation components (Automation Controllers, Field Devices and Communication Gateways).
4. Attention to detail: Proven ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints and technical specifications.
Communication: Clear communication skills to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications
a – 1 – 3 years of experience drafting specifically for Building Automation
b – Systems as:
BMS, LCS, GRMS, Home Automation
c – Familiarity with international electrical standards and regulations (e.g., UL 508A).
