Job Position – Azure Cloud Implementation Engineer

Duration: 12 Months (Extendable, Long-term with Marc Ellis)
Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled and motivated Azure Cloud Implementation Engineer to design, implement, and migrate cloud and on-premises infrastructure solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Azure services, Microsoft infrastructure, and cloud automation, with a strong focus on best practices, performance, and security.
Key Responsibilities:
– Design, implement, and manage Azure Cloud Infrastructure and Workload Migrations, including Landing Zones, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Azure Site Recovery (ASR), Azure Policies, and Microsoft Defender, following best practices.
– Implement and migrate Microsoft Infrastructure Solutions, including Active Directory, Exchange, DHCP, and WSUS.
– Execute Microsoft 365 (O365) Implementations and Migrations, including Exchange Online, Teams, and SharePoint.
– Develop and maintain automation scripts for cloud deployment and management using tools such as Azure DevOps and Terraform.
– Design and implement Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies using ASR, Azure Backup, and geo-redundant setups.
– Prepare and deliver project documentation, including Low-Level Designs (LLD), runbooks, and test plans, and ensure smooth operations handover to support teams.
Qualifications & Experience:
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
– Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with Azure implementation and migrations in enterprise environments.
– Proven track record as an Azure Cloud Implementation Engineer or in a similar role, successfully delivering cloud-based solutions.
– Strong understanding of Azure Cloud and Microsoft Infrastructure Architecture.
– Experience with cloud migration strategies and tools.
– Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, including Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Azure DevOps.
– Solid knowledge of security hardening and system performance tuning.
Relevant certifications:
– AZ-104: Microsoft Azure Administrator (Required)
– Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert (Preferred)
