About the job

Astrolabs Talent is searching for a Backend Developer to join a market leader Dubai that aims to spearhead MENA’s digital transformation. You will be responsible for helping build a world-class Digital company from the ground up.

What you’ll be doing

  • Writes and maintains code and entire systems (back-end for mobile applications, payment gateway, etc)
  • Builds integrations between systems, both in-house and third party
  • Implements automated testing platforms and unit / integration tests
  • Built and maintained complex applications that integrate multiple disparate computing elements end-to-end individually as well as part of a team
  • Develop ideas and tools from scratch

What you’ll need

  • 5+ years of work experience, preferably in a DevOps environment
  • Proficiency in Java and familiarity with concepts of MVC, JDBC, and RESTful APIs
  • A strong background in development in a Linux environment
  • Experience building with tools such as Spring Boot, JavaScript and SQL, and Docker
  • Practical knowledge of coding versioning tools such as Github and Gitlab
