About the job

This role is responsible for the management of the company’s data center including servers, virtual machines and storage devices. Will ensure the ongoing reliability and scalability of the company’s core systems to achieve availability and performance metrics critical to the business.

Job Description:

  • Manages the design, implementation, operation, and support of the company’s cloud infrastructure, including selection, installation and maintenance.
  • Responsible for the design of high available servers and services.
  • Manages and supports engagements with third party hardware vendors during procurement and maintenance.
  • Maintain internal servers and environments in our on-premises network (Windows Servers / Hyper V) and also in Microsoft Azure Cloud.
  • Provides skilled technical support / delivery capability, with minimal supervision, for the current and future delivery, support, and maintenance of production servers in the technical operations environment.
  • Complies with operational standards, procedures, and best practices.
  • Ensures that all initiatives follow information security and business continuity/disaster recovery standards.
  • Ensure systems and processes meet PCI/ISO standards.
  • Monitor and Maintain server room including the physical and environmental controls like Access Control & Temperature control. This also includes maintenance of IT rooms in the branches and offices at different locations across Gulf.
  • Provision, administer and optimize Azure workloads.

 

Qualitative Requirements:

Experience : 6+ years

Educational Qualification: Bachelors/Master is Computer Science

Professional Certifications: Microsoft Azure Certification, O365 Certification, AWS Certifications, Google

Skills & Abilities:

  • In depth knowledge on Microsoft Windows Server technologies – OS, MS Exchange, Active Directory.
  • In depth knowledge on Virtualization technology Hyper-V, VMWare.
  • Hands on experience working with medium/enterprise SAN/NAS.
  • In depth experience on Microsoft Cloud Technologies including MSOffice365, Intune and Azure.
  • Basic Understanding of Firewalls and Networks, including Routing and Switching.
  • Good Experience on Azure for hosting Data Center and Services.
  • Maintain Incident Management controls of Data Centre (Relating to Incident Management tickets of Server/ storage).
  • Maintain internal servers and environments in our on-premises network (Windows Servers / Hyper V) and also in Microsoft Azure Cloud.
  • Ability to administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Storage Area Networks (SAN) and Network Attached Storage (NAS) attached to VMware environments
  • Experience in Storage Migration & assigning LUNs.
  • Ensure update of anti-virus definitions and security patches on Windows and Unix/Linux servers.
