Job Position – Cloud Performance Engineer

Ericsson experience is a must. Looking for an experienced Cloud Performance Engineer with strong expertise in Mobile Core Network Cloud performance analysis, cloud infrastructure, virtualization, cloud-native environments, automation, monitoring, and optimization.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with OpenStack, Kubernetes, OpenShift, NFVi, Ericsson CEE/SDI/CCD, VMware, Ceph, Spine-Leaf networking, Ansible, Terraform, Prometheus/Grafana, Python/Bash, and cloud lifecycle management.
YOU WILL
– Handle operation maintenance of Deep Packet Inspection platforms deployed within the mobile/FTTH network.
– Technical owner of the DPI layer, working closely with PS Core, IP Transport, OSS/BSS, and vendor teams to ensure platform stability, performance, and alignment with business and regulatory requirements.
– Handle and resolve Customer issues.
– 24×7 On call support rotation inside the team.
– Liaise with vendor technical support (TAC) for complex platform defects and engage escalation processes where required
– Provide domain expertise to domain support
– Develop, maintain & improve automated Service Delivery methodologies.
– Perform trend analysis to proactively detect possible failures. This shall ensure restoration and repair as a result of its own analysis or when prompted by automated operations or domain support Service Function processes.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE YOU MUST HAVE
– Degree in Engineering preferably in Electronics, Computer science, Telecommunication or equivalent
. Good understanding of Network Architecture in technologies of 2G, 3G, 4G & 5G, Packet Core Network architecture and protocols.
. Strong understanding of DPI principles: flow inspection, application classification, protocol identification, and traffic policy enforcement.
. Hands-on experience with DPI systems or traffic management platforms in a live telecom environment.
. Understanding of Application detection method (Shallow / Deep Packet Inspection / Signature based detection)
· Good understanding of KPI related to deep packet inspection and identify root cause of the performance degradation.
. Experience with customer experience management tools or other network probing solutions.
. Good understanding of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence & Cloud.
