Job Position – Compliance Officer

Job Summary:
Seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Compliance Officer to ensure our company’s adherence to all regulatory requirements and internal policies related to the trade and distribution of Swiss gold bars. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of compliance or operational experience in the gold or precious metals industry in Dubai, with a strong understanding of UAE regulations, AML/CFT frameworks, and international compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
– Develop, implement, and monitor compliance policies and procedures in line with local and international standards (DMCC, UAE Central Bank, FATF, etc.).
– Ensure adherence to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Financing of Terrorism (CFT) regulations across all business processes.
– Conduct due diligence and KYC checks on clients, suppliers, and counterparties.
– Monitor daily transactions for suspicious activity and file SARs (Suspicious Activity Reports) when required.
– Liaise with DMCC, UAE regulatory bodies, auditors, and law enforcement agencies as needed.
– Provide compliance training and guidance to staff and ensure ongoing awareness of compliance obligations.
– Keep updated with changes in legislation and regulatory frameworks affecting the gold and precious metals industry.
– Assist with internal and external audits and maintain detailed records of compliance activities.
Qualifications and Skills:
– Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
– Minimum 1 year of compliance or operational experience in the gold or precious metals industry in Dubai.
– Familiarity with UAE regulations, DMCC rules, and international compliance frameworks (FATF, OECD).
– Strong understanding of AML/CFT laws and best practices in the gold trade.
– High attention to detail, integrity, and ethical standards.
– Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
– Proficiency in English (Arabic is a plus).
Preferred:
– Prior experience working in a Swiss-affiliated company or with Swiss compliance standards is an advantage.
– Certifications in Compliance, AML, or Risk Management (e.g., ICA, ACAMS) are a plus.
