Job Position – Cyber Security Specialist

Required for a Semi Government Company in Abu Dhabi
Experience – 8 to 15 yrs of Experience

RESPONSIBILITIES:
·      Collect data on current security measures for risk analysis and write system status reports.
·      Constantly monitor for attacks and run appropriate defensive protocols if a breach occurs.
·      Grant credentials to authorize users, monitor access-related activities, and check for unregistered information charges.
·      Develop and implement strategies to protect computer systems, networks, and data from cyber threats and attacks.
·      Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in the organization’s infrastructure.
·      Monitor network traffic and security event logs to detect and respond to potential security incidents.
·      Investigate security incidents and coordinate with relevant teams to mitigate the impact and prevent future occurrences.
·      Stay up to date with the latest security technologies, trends, and threats to provide proactive recommendations for enhancing the organization’s security posture.
·      Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
·      Conduct security awareness training sessions for employees to promote a security-conscious culture within the organization.
·      Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls and ensure secure development practices are followed during the software development lifecycle.
·      Participate in incident response exercises and develop incident response plans to handle security incidents effectively.

QUALIFICATION:
·      Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) are highly desirable.
·      Proven experience in cyber security roles, preferably in a specialist capacity.
·      Strong knowledge of network protocols, security technologies, and common vulnerabilities.
·      Familiarity with security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, or CIS Controls.
·      Proficient in conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing using industry-standard tools.
·      Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
·      Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
·      Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to information security and data privacy.

Salary – AED 18000 to AED 20000
