The Group is undergoing a transformation process,

where current processes are being challenged to streamline and bring in efficiencies.

Bottlenecks need to be eliminated and ease of doing business needs to come in.

As a Digital Transformation Lead, you will be leading the automation stream within the Centre of Excellence (CoE) helping it orchestrate the group’s journey to become a leading hybrid retailer in digital practices.

This role will utilize digital transformation, process re-engineering and analytics tools to focus on driving financial, operational and business growth results for the Group.

You will be required to design, execute, and lead Digital Transformation efforts of varying size and complexity.

This will also require a high degree of collaboration with other streams and key external stakeholders.

As part of implementing the transformation, you will be required to leverage change management principles such as driving behavioral changes; designing change strategy, assessing stakeholder impacts and organizational readiness, recommending and/or implementing appropriate communication, training, and change solutions, and measuring effectiveness to enhance organization, group, and individual performance in sync with the Digital Transformation.

 

What you’ll be doing

 

  • Lead the digital lifecycle; implementation of large, complex solutions from establishing project requirements and goals to solution go-live
  • Responsible for the overall strategic planning and execution of the digital program, project portfolio and delivery
  • Collaborate with the business digital champions and stakeholders and act as a liaison between IT, business units and external parties in relation to digital transformation program and identify areas of improvement of business process, execute and operations
  • Lead frontend/backend engineers; guide them from design to deployment.
  • Work closely with the stakeholders to understand the current business processes, technology involved, volumes and the problem statement
  • Identify and suggest various opportunities to improve efficiency and functionality
  • Lead technical discussions and plans to improve the overall software quality
  • Develop new innovative ways to leverage the business data to help creating data services of customer and market intelligence, improve internal processes through automation and optimization, and develop new business themes.
  • Responsible for roadmaps for integration technologies (current and future)
  • Extract and transform large-scale structured and unstructured data; develop deep-dive analyses and machine learning models to drive customer success.
  • Design and develop core business metrics, create insightful automated dashboards and data visualization to track and extract useful business insights.

 

What you’ll need to succeed

 

  • University Degree in Technology, Computer Science, or related is required
  • 5+ years of experience in digital transformation, analytics and data roles
  • Expert in: Programming (Python, Java, C/C++)
  • Databases: Relational (SQL), NoSQL (Mongo, Cassandra)
  • Experience with Frontend and Backend technologies (Django & Angular)
  • Experience with: Web infrastructure, distributed systems, performance analysis, search infrastructure, solution architecture and middleware application integration
  • API technologies (REST, SOAP) Git and distributed source control concepts, including branching and merging strategies
  • Unit testing, debugging tools, code profiling and static code analysis
  • Data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)
  • Azure/AWS (VM, Elasticsearch, EBS)
  • Virtualization technologies (Docker)
  • Good to have: Knowledgeable of core applications for Sales, Marketing, HR, Finance, etc. (ERP, HRMS, Salesforce, MDM)
  • Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and data mining techniques in one or more areas of predictive modelling, text mining, information retrieval, time series analysis, and statistical modeling
  • Demonstrable experience of success within a range of complex project environments and sectors
  • Effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions, deal with loosely defined problems and fast changing requirements and think abstractly
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to synthesize, simplify and explain complex problems to different types of audience.
