Job Position – GL Accountant

Are you detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about numbers?
The ideal candidate will have solid experience in general accounting and excellent Excel skills to manage and analyze financial data.
Key Responsibilities:
– Maintain and reconcile the general ledger.
– Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
– Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.
– Assist with internal and external audits.
– Use advanced Excel functions to analyze financial data and create reports.
– Periodic reconciliation of GL ledgers and sub ledgers.
– Prepare a checklist of monthly accrual and amortization expenses.
– Ensure proper posting of entries in the right GL of respective departments.
– Ensure timely payment and replenishment utilities and Government related accounts.
– Prepare correspondence accounts entries related to employee payroll and benefits.
Experience & Educational Qualifications required:
– Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
– Certification in Accounting will be an added advantage (CMA / CPA).
– Minimum 3 years of experience as a General Ledger accountant.
– In-depth knowledge of accruals, reconciliation, and period end closing process.
– Working knowledge of ERP platforms such as SAP or Oracle.
– Working knowledge of Infor M3 will be an added advantage.
– Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel.
– Attention to detail with high level of accuracy.
Strong Communication Skills in English, Arabic will be an added advantage.
