Job Position – GPON / FTTH Technician
Location – UAE
1–2 Years Experience | Field Role. Looking for a skilled GPON / FTTH Technician to support fiber installations, service activation, and customer troubleshooting across telecom networks.
Key Responsibilities:
– Install & configure ONT, routers, telephones & IPTV at customer premises
– Perform fiber splicing, termination & troubleshooting
– Activate, test & verify services before handover
– Diagnose GPON, internet, voice & TV service faults
– Close service requests within KPI timelines
– Ensure compliance with Etisalat quality & safety standards
– Coordinate with NOC & backend teams for escalations
Requirements:
– 1–2 years’ experience in GPON / FTTH field operations
– Strong knowledge of Fiber optics, GPON technology & IP networking
– Experience in router configuration, Wi-Fi setup, IPTV & port forwarding
– Hands-on with testing tools: Power Meter, VFL, OTDR
– Good communication & customer service skills
– Valid UAE Driving License preferred
– Diploma in Telecom / Electronics / IT or related field
