Job Position – IT Service Desk Engineer

Company Name – LanceSoft

Location – Dubai

Duration – 6+ months of contract (Extendable)

Required Experience:
– 6+ years of previous technical IT work experience with System Administration, Networking, or IT Support roles.
– Previous experience with supporting technical engineering or geoscience applications is preferred.

Required Competencies:
– Advanced Knowledge of Windows operating systems.
– Knowledge of business applications, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Application Suite, Adobe, and AutoCAD
– Operating System Deployment / Upgrade project experience
– Desktop and Laptop imaging
– Experience in a busy technical support environment
– Knowledge of Active Directory and Systems
– Disciplined troubleshooting skills
– Strong teamwork
– Ability to always follow up on problems with customers to completion
– Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
– Proactive customer service attitude

Job Description:
– SCCM and other Microsoft Technologies:
– Creating users through the domain controller/ remotely.
– Active Directory.
– DNS.
– Configure DNS for the user.
– DSCP
– Reserving an IP address.
– Group policy.
– Emails: creating new users.
– Configure Outlook for the new user. (Exchange Question) is pop in IMAP.
– Cache mode in Outlook. Knows how to disable and enable in Outlook.
– Address book.
– User management
– Emails
– supporting VPN.
– Experience in Multifactor Authentication Solutions.
– Process of building new computers.
– Laptops and desktops.
– Windows update ex Windows XP to Windows 7 or 7 to win 10.
– Configuration of the proxy server.
– Solving the print server issue
– managing inventory
– AutoCAD or any other application

Scope of Work:
– Work as part of a team of IT Service Desk
– Deploy Operating System Images on laptops
– Install and configure Business applications
– Migrate user data and profile to new system
– Manage the distribution and inventory of computer equipment and accessories.
– Provide advanced IT technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for system users.
– Escalate support issues as necessary to other members of the IT team.
– Provide expertise in a range of business and technical applications.
– Ensure that the appropriate Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes in support of the project are followed
