Job Position – IT Support Engineer

Company Name – OCS Emirates

To manage and support the full scope of IT operations for our UAE team. This role is integral to ensuring uninterrupted IT services, efficient user support, and consistent coordination with our regional IT department.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, service-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:
a) Provide Level 1 & Level 2 support for all hardware, software, network, and end-user issues, including laptops, printers, Wi-Fi, Outlook, Microsoft 365, mobile devices, and shared office equipment.
b) Ensure timely resolution of support tickets and maintain high service standards across all departments.
c) Coordinate all IT-related onboarding activities, including device issuance, system access provisioning, and email configuration.
d) Oversee offboarding procedures such as access deactivation, data backup, and asset retrieval.
e) Manage user accounts, groups, permissions, and security configurations through Active Directory / Azure AD.
f) Support Microsoft 365 applications, Teams, SharePoint, and email security gateways.
g) Handle MFA, password resets, and general account troubleshooting.
h) Provide basic monitoring and support for switches, routers, firewalls, access points, and printers.
i) Liaise with external vendors and service providers when necessary to ensure smooth operations.
j) Manage Microsoft Intune enrolment, device compliance policies, and mobile application deployment.
k) Support cybersecurity initiatives, monitor suspicious activity, maintain antivirus compliance, and enforce password/MFA policies.
l) Promote cybersecurity awareness, including phishing prevention and safe email practices.
m) Prepare regular IT reports and updates for the regional IT team and management.
n) Collaborate with the regional IT department to implement upgrades, resolve escalations, and ensure alignment with global IT standards.
o) Manage the annual IT budget for UAE operations, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
p) Oversee IT asset inventory, lifecycle management, and cost-optimization initiatives.

Requirements:
a) Minimum 5 years of IT support experience in the UAE (Facilities Management or large workforce environment preferred).
b) Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Intune, Windows OS, and basic networking.
c) Ability to work independently with strong ownership and accountability.
d) Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
e) Professional attitude with the capacity to support users at all levels of the organization.
