Job Position – Junior Accountant
Company Name – Al Bahar
Responsibilities
· Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded timely
· Provide ad hoc reports as and when required
· Assist in month end activities
· Maintain confidentiality of all finance data at all times
· Recording Intercompany clearing documents, Employee deduction lists, commissions & accruals/prepayments
· Fixed & Rental assets capitalization / disposals
· Preparing cash & bank transaction entries & month end reconciliation statements.
· Reviewing invoice documents (such as agreements, LPO’s, delivery notes etc.) for completeness & accuracy.
· Following up with customer for overdue receivables & summarizing feedback
· Booking cash/cheque receipts and matching them with receivables
· Reviewing customers for credit checks & validation of gate pass documents
· Recording vendor purchase invoices & processing payments
· Payables monitoring & reconciliation of supplier accounts
Requirements
· Excellent organizing abilities & attention to details
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively with all levels of stakeholders
· Strong understanding of Accounting principles
· Good knowledge of MS Office applications especially MS Excel & familiarity with accounting systems
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance (preferably ACCA/CMA qualified)
· Between 3-5 years of experience
· Candidate should be available in UAE
· Knowledge of UAE VAT law and corporation tax
