Job Position – Light Vehicle Driver

Required for a construction company in the UAE. The Driver will safely operate company vehicles to transport employees, supervisors, materials, tools, documents, and equipment between construction sites, offices, accommodation, suppliers, and other designated locations. The candidate must hold a valid UAE Driving License for the assigned vehicle category and have good knowledge of UAE roads, traffic regulations, and construction-site safety requirements.
Requirements
-Valid UAE Driving License for the required vehicle category.
-Previous UAE driving experience; construction or contracting experience is preferred.
-Good knowledge of UAE roads, locations, and traffic regulations.
-Basic knowledge of vehicle inspection and maintenance.
-Good safety awareness and responsible driving habits.
-Ability to work flexible hours according to project requirements.
-Basic English communication skills; Arabic or other languages are an advantage.
-Clean driving record and professional attitude.
Key Responsibilities
-Safely drive company vehicles to construction sites, offices, suppliers, warehouses, and other assigned locations.
-Transport workers, engineers, supervisors, staff, and visitors as required.
-Collect and deliver construction materials, tools, equipment, documents, and other company items.
-Follow assigned routes, schedules, and instructions from the Site Supervisor, Project Manager, or Transport Coordinator.
-Ensure all transported materials and equipment are properly loaded, secured, and delivered safely.
-Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, including tyres, brakes, lights, oil, fuel, and general vehicle condition.
-Keep the assigned vehicle clean, maintained, and in safe operating condition.
-Immediately report accidents, vehicle defects, breakdowns, traffic violations, or maintenance requirements to the supervisor.
-Maintain accurate records of daily trips, mileage, fuel consumption, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance.
-Follow all UAE traffic laws, company policies, HSE requirements, and construction-site safety procedures.
-Ensure passengers use seat belts and comply with applicable vehicle safety requirements.
-Assist with loading and unloading materials when required and when it can be done safely.
-Coordinate with site and logistics teams to ensure timely transportation and delivery of materials and personnel.
-Maintain all required vehicle and driving documents in valid and up-to-date condition.
-Demonstrate punctuality, reliability, professional conduct, and good communication with company staff and site personnel.
-Provide transportation support during urgent site requirements and perform other driving duties assigned by management.
