Job Position – Medical Gas Technicians

For one of clients in the government sector, specifically in clinics, filed hospitals, and medical centers, Abu Dhabi, UAE
Job Responsibilities:
Installation of Medical Gas Systems:
Install and commission medical gas systems, including oxygen, nitrogen, nitrous oxide, medical air, and vacuum systems.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure precise installation.
Install piping, valves, and pressure regulators in compliance with relevant codes (e.g., NFPA 99, HTM 02-01).
Maintenance and Repairs:
Perform routine and emergency maintenance on medical gas systems and equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair issues such as leaks, pressure irregularities, and equipment malfunctions.
Conduct performance checks and replace defective parts (e.g., valves, regulators, compressors, manifolds).
System Design and Upgrades:
Design new medical gas systems or upgrade existing systems based on facility needs.
Provide input on system capacity, layout, and equipment selection for optimized performance.
Work with engineers and project managers to ensure designs meet regulatory standards and healthcare facility requirements.
Inspection and Compliance:
Perform daily, monthly, and annual inspections of medical gas systems to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
Ensure systems meet safety standards, including NFPA, ASSE 6000 series, and other local or national regulations.
Identify potential safety hazards and ensure the system operates efficiently without interruptions to healthcare services.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with contractors, engineers, and hospital staff to coordinate maintenance, installations, and system improvements.
Provide technical guidance and training to healthcare personnel regarding the use and maintenance of medical gas systems.
Assist with audits and inspections conducted by regulatory bodies or third-party inspectors.
