Job Position – Network Engineer
Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization’s computer networks, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and wireless networks. They work to optimize network performance, ensure reliability and security, and troubleshoot issues as they arise. The Network Engineer collaborates with other IT teams to integrate network infrastructure with other systems and applications, and they stay updated on emerging technologies to support the organization’s networking needs.
Key Responsibilities:
– Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
– Configure network devices and protocols to optimize performance and security.
– Monitor network traffic, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve efficiency.
– Troubleshoot network issues and perform root cause analysis.
– Implement network security measures, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access controls.
– Conduct regular network audits and vulnerability assessments.
– Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate network infrastructure with other systems and applications.
– Provide technical support and assistance to end-users and other IT staff.
– Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
– Stay informed about emerging technologies and best practices in networking.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
– Proven experience as a Network Engineer or similar role.
– Strong knowledge of networking protocols and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VOIP, Wi-Fi Solutions).
– Experience with network hardware (e.g., Cisco, FortiNet) and software-defined networking (SDN) concepts.
– Familiarity with network security principles and practices.
– Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are preferred.
– Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
– Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
– Excellent Vendor Management capabilities
– Good understanding of Official documents (RFPs, SLAs, RFQs,.. etc.)
