Network and IP Telephony Engineer
Job location: Dubai
Responsible for insuring the day-to-day operation, reliability, and integrity of the enterprise voice communications network. This includes the installation, maintenance, and management of all voice equipment such as voice servers, gateways, PBX switches, phones, circuits, wiring, servers, backup systems, voice network management and diagnostic tools, etc.
In control of designing and developing cisco unified communication architectural enhancements, troubleshoot unified communication issues, create functional and technical design documentation and establish standards to correspond to engineering specifications and industry best practices
Performs testing, provision, operations and emergency response for ongoing VOIP network operation
oversee and manages the deployment of upgrades to existing voice, video and other related systems in a multi-location environment
Hands-on experience in maintaining and troubleshoot Cisco BEM7K UCS servers running CUCM 11x, Cisco Unity Connection 11x, IMP 11x, Expressways C & E on VMware platform
Configuration of call signaling protocols on Voice Gateways H.323, MGCP and SIP
Configuring Call manager features and services
Well knowledge in Cisco Unity Express and Connection
Implementation of gateway redundancy technology
Configuration of SRST
Deployment of All kinds of Cisco IP Phones.
Hand-on experience on FAX-Solutions.
Proven hands-on network engineering experience
Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., Firewalls, Routers, Switches, QoS, Wireless LAN controllers, Access points, LAN/WLAN security)
Managing the Site-to-Site VPN connectivity’s
Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations
Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability
Reporting network status to key stakeholder
Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning
Designing , implementing, taking handover of new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks
Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases
Network security management
Established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
