In order to reinforce the Finance Department in the UAE we are currently recruiting for a

Senior Accountant

As Senior Accountant your role is to manage the day to day activities of the Finance department. You will be collaborating closely with other Finance departments in the region to ensure that accounting is aligned and executed effectively.

Description

/Tasks

• Custodian of General Ledger
• In charge of the day to day duties within the finance department
• Generate all financial data reports to the management
• Liaise with the local and the group team for all finance related functions and reporting
• Pass Journal entries for the month end close book
• Close accounts at the month end and submit the reports within the time assigned
• Annual closing and audit
• Prepare schedules and other requirements for the statutory audit and assist the auditors for the finalization of the accounts
• Responsible for the preparation of the annual budget and other management reports.
• Supervision and control of AR and AP
• Release vendor and other bank payments
• Responsible for the cash control
• Controller of banks account balance and fund management / payouts
• Preparation of Bank reconciliation statements
• Monitor DOA levels are strictly followed
• Review all internal controls regularly and suggest improvements in processes
• Liaise with all operational departments to ensure smooth flow of information
• To work on any other related assignments given from time to time

Qualification/Experience

• Degree /Post Graduate in Finance / Commerce or equivalent
• 5-10 years’ experience in Finance / Accounting systems, reporting etc.
• Aviation background would be a plus.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Experience in Various Accounting systems.
• Self driven, leadership qualities, team player and most important attention to detail
• Extensive and intrinsic knowledge of various Accounting / Finance processes
• Capable of Independent closing of books of accounts and reporting
• Exposure to various audits
• Management of daily cash flow and dealing with banks
