Role Purpose

Leads & Designs Digital Platform Solutions for Complex Business Projects encompassing group-wide delivery. The role requires deliverables that help provide technical direction for Digital Platforms & its related Services delivery for the group.

Role Details

Main Responsibilities:

  • Analyses and translates business, information and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint that outlines solutions to achieve business objectives for the group.
  • Leads the analysis of new/existing digital platform architectures, to specify long term direction, and ensuring the digital systems meet reliability expectations across the group.
  • Defines Solutions & Selects Digital Platform Technologies required to build efficient group-wide reusable solutions that are aligned with the IT Strategy and Architecture Vision of the Group.
  • Defines Solutions for Digital Platforms covering the following areas:
      • eCommerce Platforms
      • Customer experience design
      • AI and cognitive services
      • Mobile Applications
      • Customer Engagement Platforms
      • Customer Value Management
      • Digital & Social Media Marketing
      • Feedback & Survey Platforms
      • Web Applications Delivery
      • Public Content Management
      • Customer Identity & Profiling
      • Implement Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery structures where appropriate
      • Groupwide Mobile Framework standardization
      • Creates, Documents and Ensures that necessary conceptual/logical architectures and system documents are generated for the correct implementation/integration or deployment of the solutions.
      • Work with enterprise architecture, application, and infrastructure teams to produce an optimal design to support the solution and identifies design dependencies with other systems in the ecosystem.
      • Ensure the technical integrity and quality of the solutions
      • Define the principles, guidelines, standards, and solution patterns to ensure design decisions are

      • aligned with the enterprise’s future-state architecture vision.

 

      • Oversight experience on transformational projects and successful transitions to implementation support teams
      • Proven track record of building trusted technical and business relationships with business executives and having a constant drive grow in highly strategic relationships within the group
      • Proven track record of driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts and ensuring follow through with cross-functional teams
      • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills leveraging all available resources
      • Ability to connect technology with measurable business value
      • Responsible for ensuring compliance and update to the solution architecture documentation frameworks to support Service Delivery
      • Provides coaching, develop skills and improve performance of employees and peers.
      • Applies knowledge of business and personal objectives to key players and get them personally committed to the success of the solution architecture initiatives
      • Exceptional verbal and written communication

Definition Of Success

      • Solution Discovery, Design for the Defined Architectures for Groupwide Initiatives with scalable, cost effective and optimal technologies and solutions
      • Successful Delivery of assigned initiatives and projects with pre-defined KPIs
      • Documented and up-to-date architecture repository of all as-is solutions across the group
      • Defined process and templates on architecture documentation (as-is), creation (new/to-be), and standards
      • Continuously identify and address infrastructure design issues
      • Ensuring deployed solutions follow compliance thus establishing architecture governance, contributing to higher rate of technology implementations
      • Must take initiatives to harmonize designs and solutions across the group
      • Successful delivery of assigned projects

Functional/Technical Competencies

      • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
      • Broad understanding of the key layers of IT architecture including enterprise, data, application and solution, specific to level digital, identity, content & engagement platforms such as Hybris, WebSphere, Sitecore, Twilio, Okta, firebase etc.
      • A track record of delivering end to end solution architecture for large and complex multi-channel eCommerce or digital projects
      • Experience in cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure, Saas and Iaas, cloud infrastructure and multiple programming languages
      • Good knowledge of open source technologies (in full-stack environments) and stretching into code management, testing and deployment tools
      • Commercial awareness of implementing software i.e. cost of system, ownership, impact of new tech into established organization
      • Good experience and knowledge of the Agile /Scrum delivery process
      • Deep understanding of major mobile framework like OWASP etc.
      • Understanding of Definition & Delivery of Integration Technologies and API Management Framework in relation to digital systems with support from Integration Solution Architects & Development Teams
      • Industry Standard Expert Certifications covering above listed technologies and domains.
      • Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture such as TOGAF or COBIT are preferred but not required.

Minimum Qualifications

    • /education

 

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, system engineering or a related discipline.
