Job Position – Sr. Estimation Engineer

(Civil) /Tendering Department – Building Section

Key responsibilities:
• Analyze project requirements and review technical drawings, specifications, and other relevant documentation.
• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to gather and verify data for cost analysis.
• Develop and maintain an up-to-date database of unit costs, labor rates, and supplier quotations.
• Review and evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotations for accuracy and cost competitiveness.
• Assist in the preparation of bid proposals, tender submissions, and budgetary estimates.
• Track and incorporate design changes and updates into the cost estimates.
• Provide estimation support during project meetings and clarify cost-related issues when required.
• Offer value engineering suggestions to help optimize project costs without compromising quality.
• Maintain organized records of all estimates, contracts, and estimate revisions.
Qualifications and skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil Engineering).
• Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in cost estimation, preferably in construction, or related industries.
• Proficiency in estimation software such as Candy, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of industry standards, construction methodologies, and materials.
• Exceptional analytical and numerical skills.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred qualifications:
Professional certificates such as AACE Certified Estimating Professional (CEP) or Project Management Professional
(PMP).
