Job Position – Urology Technician
Company Name – Saudi German Hospital
Your role will involve assisting urologists in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of urological conditions and diseases. You will be responsible for performing various technical procedures, such as urodynamic testing, catheterization, and assisting with minor surgical procedures. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment are essential for this role.
Responsibilities
Prepare patients for urological procedures and explain the process to alleviate any concerns or anxiety.
Assist urologists during urodynamic testing, cystoscopies, and other diagnostic procedures.
Perform catheterizations, including insertion, removal, and care of urinary catheters.
Collect and analyze urine and other fluid samples for diagnostic purposes.
Assist with minor surgical procedures, including sterilizing instruments, setting up surgical trays, and maintaining a sterile environment.
Manage and maintain urology equipment, ensuring proper functioning and calibration.
Educate patients on self-catheterization techniques, care of urological devices, and medication administration.
Document and maintain accurate patient records, including procedure details, test results, and treatment plans.
Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to minimize the risk of cross-contamination and infection.
Participate in continuing education and training programs to stay updated with advancements in urological procedures and techniques.
Qualification
High school diploma or equivalent.
Certification or Associate’s degree in a related field, such as medical assisting or urology technology.
Proven experience as a Urology Technician or similar role.
Solid understanding of urology procedures and diagnostic tests.
Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
Proficient in using urology equipment and instruments.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
Adherence to patient confidentiality and ethical standards.
Residence Requirement:
– The candidate must be a resident of the UAE.
