To lead and optimize all aspects of workshop operations. This crucial role demands a strong blend of technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and business acumen to ensure efficient and seamless service delivery.

Responsibilities:

Workshop Operations:

  • Manage and optimize daily workshop activities, including task assignment, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor and control workflow to ensure deadlines are met and customer expectations are exceeded.
  • Implement and improve processes for maximum efficiency and productivity.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure that all work completed in the workshop meets or exceeds quality standards and industry best practices.
  • Perform regular quality checks, inspections, and audits.
  • Address and resolve any customer complaints or issues promptly.

Customer Service:

  • Interact with customers to address inquiries and concerns, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers and provide solutions to meet their needs.
  • Handle customer feedback and make necessary improvements.

Cost Management and Revenue Growth:

  • Develop and manage the workshop’s budget, controlling costs effectively.
  • Continuously assess workshop operations to identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
  • Explore and implement cost-effective measures without compromising on quality.
  • Collaborate with senior management to identify revenue-generating opportunities, such as offering new services or expanding the customer base.
  • Monitor financial performance and make data-driven recommendations to optimize revenue.

Inventory and Supplies Management:

  • Oversee inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and maintaining parts and supplies.
  • Monitor and control inventory levels to minimize waste and reduce costs.
  • Develop relationships with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and availability

Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, standards, and regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety training for staff and maintain records of safety inspections and incidents.
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness and responsibility.

Equipment and Facility Maintenance:

  • Maintain workshop equipment in good working condition and schedule regular maintenance.
  • Oversee facility upkeep and ensure a clean, safe, and well-organized working environment.
  • Manage relationships with equipment vendors and service providers.

Service Portfolio Expansion:

  • Research and assess market demand and industry trends to identify potential new services or improvements to existing services.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement new service offerings, ensuring they align with the company’s goals and customer needs.

Technical Training:

  • Provide technical training to the workshop team to enhance their skills and knowledge in areas relevant to their job roles.
  • Develop and implement training programs to keep the team updated with the latest industry standards and technologies.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, coach, and motivate a team of workshop technicians and support staff.
  • Provide clear direction, set performance goals, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and continuous improvement.

Recruitment and Team Development:

  • Participate in the recruitment and selection of new team members when needed to meet increased workload or to fill vacant positions.

Requirements:

  • Strong leadership quality with a proven ability to motivate and develop teams.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Workshop Manager within the GCC region.
  • Strong technical knowledge of off-road vehicles is highly desirable.
  • Arabic language proficiency is preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in utilizing softwares and Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and inventory control.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate with customers, vendors, and staff.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Engineering (or a related field) is highly desirable.
  • Experience with off-road vehicle maintenance and modification is considered an advantage.
