Job Position – Fixed Assets Controller
Company Name – Saeed Lootah Foundation
Location: Dubai, UAE
To manage, track, and account for the organization’s physical and capital assets throughout their lifecycle. The role will ensure accurate asset records, financial reporting, audit compliance, and effective asset management practices.
Key Responsibilities
-Maintain and update the fixed asset register, including asset tagging, serial numbers, costs, and locations.
-Manage asset additions, transfers, capitalization of projects (CIP/WIP), disposals, and write-offs.
-Calculate depreciation and amortization and perform fixed asset sub-ledger and general ledger reconciliations.
-Conduct physical asset verification, investigate variances, and support audit requirements.
-Prepare financial reports, supporting schedules, reconciliations, and asset-related documentation.
-Ensure compliance with IFRS capital asset rules and internal policies.
Qualifications & Experience
-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
-Professional certification in Finance or Accounting is mandatory (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CMA, CIA or equivalent).
-At least 3 years of experience in fixed asset management, financial controlling, or accounting roles.
-Strong knowledge of IFRS fixed asset accounting, depreciation, and audit compliance.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, accounting software, and/or Odoo ERP.
-Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, integrity, and ability to manage confidential financial information.
-Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders.
Candidate Requirements
-Candidates must currently be based in the UAE with relevant UAE work experience.
-Strong reporting, documentation, reconciliation, and audit preparation skills are required.
