Job Position – Junior Aquarist
Company Name – The National Aquarium
For being part of a core team for the maintenance and husbandry of living exhibits and provides assistance with a range of activities associated with The National Aquarium. Junior Aquarists are new fish keepers obtaining knowledge of marine and freshwater aquariums.
The job holder will be responsible for the daily care of all the animals within the Aquarium. Ensure that the highest standards of animal care are maintained across all exhibits.
Requirements:
– A higher school degree in Biology, preferably Marine Biology or Oceanography is an advantage.
– 1-2 years of experience working within an aquarium or similar facility.
– SCUBA certification from a recognized training agency.
– Must feel comfortable working in closed spaces or when surrounded by wild animals.
