Job Position – Lab Technician – Inventory & Storage
Company Name – United for Manpower Solutions
Contract Duration: 6 months, extendable
Salary Full Package: 6500 QAR
This contract-based role is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for lab operations, inventory systems, and safe handling of research materials, including hazardous and temperature-sensitive items.
Key Responsibilities:
– Maintain the Inventory Management System, including end-users training, access
– Verify and update catalog entries, track database growth, and monitor barcoding/tagging
– Oversee safe receipt, inspection, and tagging of lab chemicals, biologicals, etc
– Ensure availability and functionality of barcode tools (printers, scanners, labels)
– Organize and label storage spaces and maintain facilities-owned storage areas
– Assist with lab material disposal and ensure records are updated accordingly
– Conduct physical counts and audits to maintain accurate inventory records
– Support internal audits by generating inventory reports and verifying counts
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Logistics & Supply Chain, Biotechnology, Biomedical / Laboratory Sciences, Chemistry, or related field (is a must)
· 1–2 years in inventory management, logistics, laboratories, research or academic settings
· Any relevant training in inventory systems, lab safety, or HAZMAT handling are a plus
· Solid understanding of terminologies used in inventory, labs, and logistics operations
· Familiarity with laboratory materials, hazardous and temperature-sensitive items
· Experience using inventory software or e-system and Microsoft Office Suite
· Knowledge of safety regulations for inventory control, storage and material disposal
· High attention to details, especially within labs and academic institutions
· Excellent verbal and written communication in English
