The Mechanical engineer is responsible to oversee the implementation, maintenance, and safety of the machinery, tools and components.

Experience: 3 years – relevant experience as mechanical engineer. Preferably a 3rd/4th engineer who will sail onboard the vessel.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree of Engineering / should have Class 4 COC

Gender: Male

Responsibilities

• Confer with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.
• Research and analyse the malfunction to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of the machinery.
• Research, evaluate, install, operate, and maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes to meet requirements, applying knowledge of engineering principles.
• Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and to make recommendations to technical crew.
• Provide feedback to engineers on machinery problems and needs.
• Establish and coordinate the maintenance and safety procedures, service schedule, and supply of materials required to maintain machines and equipment in the prescribed condition
• Perform root cause analysis and work towards resolutions
• Coordinate with suppliers for spare parts

Qualifications

• Should have min 3 years Exp. As a Mechanical engineer
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar qualification
• UAE Driving licence is a must
• Effective technical skills
• The ability to work under pressure
• Problem-solving skills
• Class 4 COC
