About the job

The Role:

The Power BI Developer is primarily responsible for designing & developing various reports / KPIs by Integrating it with various systems and provide day to day support.

What you will do:

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining Reports & Dashboards in Power BI
  • Designing fact tables and dimensions in Power BI environment using DAX and M
  • Query & Database optimization of existing reporting
  • Gathering client requirements for development.
  • Building data connection using both technologies i.e., direct query and data load
  • Crafting and executing queries upon request for data
  • Presenting information through reports and visualization
  • Create Power BI reports based on business requirements with linked content, drilldowns, and nested parameters.
  • Optimize Microsoft Power BI dashboards with a focus on usability, performance, flexibility, testability, and standardization.
  • Creating technical documentation for BI interface
  • Self-motivated and well organized with strong time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy and a sense of personal accountability.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work well with all levels of the organization.
  • Practical experience in business analytics or intelligence along with working knowledge of a variety of data analysis techniques.
  • Analytical abilities to examine the current processes of an organization and come up with creative ways of solving them.
  • Communicate gaps to management or clients. It is crucial that applicants are excellent communicators who can clarify expectations and drive alignment.

What you must have

 

  • 2 to 3 years of Proven experience as a BI Developer.
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or Information System.
  • Familiarity with BI technologies (e.g. Microsoft Power BI, SAP BI/BW).
  • Practical experience with Python, R is a plus.
  • Microsoft Certified Data Analyst is a must.
  • Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative.
  • Proven experience in development of Planning and Forecasting tools.
  • Analytical thinking, logical reasoning, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to extract insights from large and complex datasets.
