Job Position – Senior Purchase Executive

Looking for an experienced and result-oriented Senior Purchase Executive to join the team in the steel fabrication industry. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of steel materials, supplier management, commercial negotiations, and end-to-end procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities
– Manage the complete procurement cycle, from material requisition and supplier sourcing to purchase order issuance and delivery.
– Procure structural steel, MS plates, beams, channels, angles, hollow sections, pipes, welding consumables, bolts, fasteners, paints, and other industrial materials.
– Source, evaluate, and develop reliable local and international suppliers.
– Negotiate competitive prices, credit terms, payment conditions, and delivery schedules.
– Prepare and analyse comparative statements and recommend suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery.
– Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Projects, Stores, Logistics, and Finance to ensure timely availability of materials.
– Monitor steel market prices, supplier performance, outstanding purchase orders, and delivery schedules.
– Ensure purchased materials comply with approved specifications, quality requirements, and project standards.
– Identify cost-saving opportunities and maintain accurate procurement records using ERP systems.
Candidate Requirements
– Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
– Minimum 5–8 years of relevant purchasing experience, preferably in steel fabrication, structural steel, manufacturing, or construction.
– Strong knowledge of structural steel materials, grades, sizes, specifications, and fabrication consumables.
– Proven experience in supplier sourcing, price negotiation, cost control, and vendor development.
– Good understanding of Incoterms, import procedures, shipping documentation, and international procurement.
– Experience with ERP systems and advanced MS Excel skills.
– Strong communication, analytical, organisational, and negotiation skills.
– UAE experience and an established supplier network in the UAE/GCC will be an advantage.
