Job Position – Safety Officer

High Voltage Power Cable Turnkey Projects Division (EPC)

Location: Abu Dhabi / Dubai, UAE
Vacancies: 2 Nos.
Will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and enforcing Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures across High Voltage Underground Power Cable EPC projects. The role ensures compliance with UAE regulations, client requirements, and company HSE standards.
Key Responsibilities
-Implement and enforce project HSE plans, policies, and procedures.
-Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and HSE training programs.
-Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with approved method statements and risk assessments.
-Identify hazards, perform risk assessments, and recommend corrective actions.
-Conduct routine site safety inspections and audits.
-Investigate and report incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
-Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and client HSE representatives.
-Maintain HSE records, permits, and weekly/monthly reports.
Qualifications & Experience
-Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering or Safety-related discipline preferred).
-NEBOSH IGC and/or IOSH certification (mandatory).
-Minimum 3 years of experience in infrastructure, utility, or HV power cable projects – DEWA / TAQA.
-Strong knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and client HSE requirements.
-TAQA or DEWA-approved Safety Officer status will be an added advantage.
-Good communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
-UAE/GCC experience preferred.
