Job Position – Senior Civil QS / Commercial Engineer
Company Name – SCEGC
To manage the commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for cost control, quantity measurement, valuation, variations, claims, subcontract management, and commercial reporting while ensuring compliance with project budgets, contracts, and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage quantity surveying and commercial activities for construction projects.
2. Prepare BOQ, quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and valuations.
3. Monitor project costs, budgets, variations, and cash flow.
4. Review subcontractor payment applications and prepare client submissions.
5. Handle variations, claims, EOT, and final accounts.
6. Review contracts, subcontract agreements, and commercial terms.
7. Coordinate with Project, Planning, Procurement, and Finance teams.
Prepare commercial reports and provide cost-control advice to management.
Requirements
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying / Civil Engineering or related field.
2. 8+ years’ experience in construction QS/Commercial roles.
3. UAE experience, preferably with high-rise building projects.
4. Strong knowledge of BOQ, measurement, cost control, variations, claims, and contracts.
5. Good knowledge of FIDIC and UAE construction practices.
6. Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
7. Candidates available in the UAE preferred.
