About the job

WME is looking to appoint a Senior Projects Coordinator to join us based out of our office in Dubai.

 

1)       Qualifications

 

Normally a minimum of 10 -12 years’ experience with an Architect/Engineering Degree.

Have a proven ability in design, project management, team management and client liaison. Ability to develop relationships with Directors, Project Managers and Clients.

 

2)        Project Role & Company Role

 

  • Coordinate with department heads and obtain manning levels.
  • Review and comment on the consultancy agreement for the full scope of services. Ensure projects confirm to contract.
  • Create project execution plans for all projects to track progress.
  • Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution.
  • Assist in arranging for internal monthly meetings with Project Managers/ Department Heads to review and discuss progress, contractual issues, payment status, claims, variations on projects, planned expenditures, risks etc.
  • Ensure QA/QC procedures are properly implemented and maintained by project members.
  • Manage Client interface issues and establish a Change Management process to manage variations to Scope of Services.
  • Manage the appointment or coordinate with external consultants or sub consultants for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Involvement in developing the design management plan for each design stage, management of all phases of design throughout project scope (including set-up, design and close out).
  • Reviewing the design deliverables to ensure that they are complete and meet the standards required for each stage/agreement.
  • Be the main point of reference with day-to-day communications with clients and sub consultants on your respective projects.
  • Prepare, review and update risk register to identify and mitigate major risks to the project.
  • Ensure to create and communicate clear and attainable project objectives and project requirements.
  • Report any potential problems or risks to the project director as needed in order to mitigate any issues in future.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key clients and stakeholders, and ensure the delivery of a responsive and professional service.
  • Review all key projects within own area of responsibility and proactively engage with clients and partner groups to gather feedback and deliver service improvement initiatives.
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
  • Management contract fees against in house disciplines and sub-consultants
  • Manage teamwork plans and communication protocols for respective projects
  • Update risk register and escalate any risks to formal correspondence.
  • Monitor and control project fees and invoicing.
  • Liaise with Project Managers/ Department Heads and issue payment requests to clients.
  • Prepare conditions of construction contracts for client’s approval and negotiate them with contractors.
  • Coordinate with other regional offices to share resources for delivery of large scale projects.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
